The Company of Wolves was released on home video this week in 1985 – with a poster that was pure nightmare fuel.
One of the more lyrical lycanthropic narratives, this terrific early Neil Jordan film is also a gorgeously baroque all-star retelling of the Red Riding Hood story. To be honest, I fell in love with this movie the moment I saw that amazing poster hanging in the local mom and pop shop.
This one’s worth a stop by the video store on the way to grandma’s. -Pop
