Pure Luck is probably best remembered as one of those random movie rentals you were willing to roll the dice on just because Martin Short was on the box. Which is usually the promise of a damn good time.
Otherwise, it’s a relic of that late 80s early 90s era when mid-budget star-driven buddy comedies were just kinda… there. Not a classic, not a disaster – just something you watched, returned, and forgot about until years later, when someone says, “Hey, remember Pure Luck?” and you get a faint flash of Martin Short swollen from bee stings before changing the conversation to Captain Ron. -Pop
