Pulse (1988)

Pulse is a Joey Lawrence-powered sci-fried circuit breaking thriller that was mostly grounded in theaters, but managed to spark up a cult following on Home Video. For those not on the grid, the film revolves around a mysterious electrical force that invades people’s homes and dispatches its residents by hotwireing appliances. That is, until it jacks into Joey’s house. Whoah.

This movie’s a RadioShack anxiety attack. It’s Poltergeist meets Maximum Overdrive, but stripped of R-rated shock value and fed through a PG-13 limiter.
.
It never blew fuses at the box office, but it definitely deserves more buzz.
