I Love You to Death (1990)

I Love You to Death arrived on Home Video today in 1990, after an April 6th theatrical release.

“Monop-oly!” Lawrence Kasdan’s charismatic dark comedy about a repeatedly botched spousal homicide wasn’t exactly box-office poison, but it didn’t garner much love or critical acclaim when it first hit theatres – in spite of the built-in pulled-from-the-headlines sensationalism.

See, it was based on recent true life events that resulted in Frances Toto spending four years in prison for the attempted murder of her husband Anthony. Oddly enough she was released in 1988 and as of today, the couple are still married.

Goes to show, some people deserve a second shot. And so does this movie. -Pop
