A very different world: Def By Temptation is a slick ultra-low budget vampire flick by writer-director-producer-former-child-actor James Bond III.
It used to get a bad rap by way of the Troma association, but don’t let that fool you. This is one of those little bargain basement labours of love that Troma would occasionally catch and release straight to video store bottom shelves (best part of the video store if you ask me) like There’s Nothing Out There or Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town.
It’s def-initely worth a look, especially if you’re into talky exercises in shoestring indie-auteur moviemaking with plenty of neon lighting and Dutch angles… that’s my kind of joint.
Like milk in a beer mug, Def is a spiked cocktail of noire and humeur that always goes down smooth. -Pop
